How does a work KITAS differ from the proposed digital nomad visa?

A work KITAS needs a local sponsor, covers employment or investment and is taxed in Indonesia. The proposed nomad visa — not yet launched — targets remote workers paid from abroad, reportedly tax-free and without a sponsor.

How strict are the rules for influencers on tourist visas?

Very. Authorities monitor social media and local activity. Paid work or brand collabs without a KITAS or C5 visa can mean fines, deportation and a re-entry blacklist.

What income will the 5-year nomad visa require?
